I am also more than ready. The only reason I am liking this cold weather is maybe it will keep the toms a little more at bay till the warmer season gets here. Closer to opening day I hope.

I'm ready, I really enjoy the calling more than the killing though I enjoy calling in birds for my youngest son Flint.

Yeah, No Doubt Tim! You'll be hunting turkey in the snow!

Broc...I love calling. So awesome when you are calling and a gobbler is talking back to you.

Ok i have a crazy question for all you seasoned turkey hunters out there. Do you use cover up scents(IE. scent a way) when turkey hunting? Not for the turkey but say there are deer around you wouldn't want them to smell you and get spooked and spook the turkey right?

That is a good point Sherry. I personally don't, but I've had a couple situations where deer have come in while I was turkey hunting. They blow at ya and in my couple situations they moved on. Or they have no idea you're there. I have had a gobbler and a deer battle before...lol. That was hilarious! That deer jumped like a cat!
